About me
My background is in psychology (BBS Psych) and social work (MSW(Q)), with extensive experience supporting adults experiencing a broad range of mental health, psychosocial, and life transition challenges.
I am passionate about providing holistic, person-centred support that recognises the connection between emotional wellbeing, social circumstances, health, relationships, and community supports. My experience includes working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, grief and loss, substance use (AOD), dual diagnosis, and complex mental health concerns.
I have several years’ experience supporting individuals and families impacted by trauma, grief, ageing, and dementia, including assisting older adults to navigate care systems, maintain autonomy, and advocate for their rights and wellbeing. I am a strong advocate for older Australians and am committed to promoting dignity, inclusion, and empowerment at every stage of life.
I work with adults of all ages and utilise a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach grounded in the values of social work: compassion, respect, advocacy, and social justice. My practice integrates evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and principles of Positive Psychology, while recognising the importance of practical support, connection, and individual lived experience.
At Let’s Chat About Counselling and Social Work, I aim to provide a safe, respectful, and supportive space where you or your loved one can explore emotions, identify strengths, navigate challenges, and build practical strategies for meaningful and lasting change.
